The NAC Award Facilitation 2023 was a significant event held to honor champions from grades 4 to 9 across India. Hosted in Pune, the ceremony celebrated participants’ outstanding knowledge and passion for space sciences with awards, certificates, and inspiring speeches by esteemed scientists and educators.
Following the ceremony, the champions and their accompanying teachers embarked on an enlightening space expedition to IISER Pune and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT), where they participated in immersive sessions, hands-on activities, and simulations, enriching their understanding of space exploration and fostering their interest in STEM fields.
First-of-its-kind, the inspirational event “Cosmic Confluence” is tailored for NAC participants who excel in their fields. It serves as a bridge between aspiring young minds and established pioneers in the realms of space and astronomy.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with leading experts and listen to their insights firsthand at T-Hub, Hyderabad. Additionally, the event will be live-streamed to ensure accessibility for all NAC participants, fostering a broader community of space enthusiasts.
Top three champions from each grade will be invited to an awe-inspiring award ceremony at T-Hub, Hyderabad.
Top performers in each grade become School Champions, receiving a gold medal and excellence certificate. To vie for this title, participants must achieve 75% percentile or higher within their class.

National Champions vs. School Champions: National Champions are participants who achieve the highest scores in their respective grades nationwide and are recognized at the national level. They represent top-performing individuals in the overall NAC competition. School Champions, however, are recognized within their individual schools based on achieving high scores relative to their peers. Typically, School Champions must achieve a minimum of 75 percentile to qualify.What is criteria to be shortlisted as school champion

"Cosmic Confluence" refers to an event designed to bring together both National Champions and other top performers from the NAC. It serves as a platform where these participants can interact directly with notable figures in the space and astronomy fields, offering valuable insights and inspiration.
If you have not secured the title of National Champion but are eager to participate in the Cosmic Confluence, you may still have an opportunity. The event may consider participants who have achieved a certain percentile score or above in the NAC, typically around 75% or higher. The final decision on participant inclusion, including any available open seats, is determined by the organizing committee and announced alongside the NAC results.
